Experiences

Mr. Yuan has been invited as consultant and patent trainer by “Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO)” for many years. He was also requested to act as the author and editor for drafting “The Patents Guidelines for Computer Software Related Inventions” for the TIPO. Mr. Yuan has been a popular lecturer of patent training courses for Taiwan Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan University of Science & Technology and Taipei University of Science & Technology, etc., he is also a lecturer at “Taiwan Intellectual Property Training Academy (TIPA)” and nominated as an “Excellent Teacher” for many years.

Mr. Yuan was also the chairman for “The Project for Improving the Competitiveness of Local Industry” for Taiwan Industrial Development Bureau. As a former leader of the intellectual property (IP) group of the Institute for Information Industry, Mr. Yuan has long-term experiences in enterprise IP management, and served as an IP consultant for may primary companies, such as TSMC, Foxcomm, Acer, Uni-President, AUO, Inventec, Delta Electronics, Accton, Gigabyte, etc.

Mr. Yuan has been invited to serve as an IP consultant in China since 2000, including “The State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO),” the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, etc. He also acted as a training expert for “The National Intellectual Property Office – Intellectual Property Strategy Seminar,” “Plan for IP Protection in Europe and China” and “National Patent Strategy and Business Management Roving Seminars,” etc. Mr. Yuan has accepted the CCTV interview dealing with IP and patent strategy, he was one of the experts to introduce the concepts and practices of Patent Early Warning & Analysis into China jurisdiction.
